Clean thoroughly, service major systems, fix obvious issues, and leave the house accessible. A smooth inspection keeps your sale on track.

A home inspection isn’t just for buyers—it can impact your sale.

To prepare, clean your home top to bottom. Make sure all lightbulbs work, outlets function, and doors and windows open smoothly. Service the AC, replace filters, and label your electrical panel. Clear out under sinks and around the water heater.

Also, leave the house for the inspection. The inspector—and buyer—need room to evaluate things thoroughly.

I’m Eve Metlis with Watson Realty, and I guide sellers through this process so there are no surprises. A successful inspection gets you one step closer to closing.
